Policies

Health and Safety

Under Section 2 (2) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Turners Cleaning and Support Services comply with those requirements for staff, public and premises. Good practices can also be integrated with clients policies and procedures.

Health and Safety for staff is covered as part of our Induction Training and each site will have a nominated person responsible for equipment, chemicals and day to day issues of health and safety.

The Company’s Health and Safety Manager has completed the ‘Managing Safely’ course and examination set by the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety. Accidents and reportable incidents are recorded and investigated. A copy of the report is available on request.

All of the Company’s field managers have achieved a level two qualification for Health and Safety in the Workplace.

The Company carry out COSHH assessments for all chemicals and undertake risk assessments for work functions and any issues unique to client premises.

Turners Cleaning and Support Services are registered to OHSAS 18001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (certificate number H1013) issued in April 2006.

Environmental

We maintain an Environmental Policy to ensure we prevent pollution, protect the environment, and are compliant with current legislation. We review and re-address our objectives to continually improve our systems.

The materials used are environmentally friendly and can be disposed of safely. ‘Green’ products can be provided in line with Client environmental requirements as necessary.

Turners Cleaning and Support Services will comply with controlled waste and recycling obligations under a licensed waste carrier/brokers (certificate number TNE/377989/CB).

The Company is registered to BS EN ISO 14001 – Environmental Management Systems (certificate number E1209) issued in April 2006.
